Carlos & DJ Ray are some of the youngest producers to step into the Lucidflow fold and draw much of their style from a wide variety of musical genres including Jazz, Funk and even Samba. 

After setting up Lucidflow with Nadja Lind to express their musical creations Helmut Ebritsch has led by example using his own name as well as his Hatikvah and Klartraum guises. Helmut’s musical journey began when he started producing music on a c-64. After putting out his first EP in 1996 his releases have blossomed and Helmut has recently signed a album deal with Soma. 

Carlos Sanchez’ & DJ Ray ‘Last Call’ is a cymbal shuffling low end groover. With a tight vocal sample flittering in and as the track climbs with the aid of a synth to leave a devastating low end growling at you. 

Last Call is then given the remix treatment by label boss and B side artist Helmut Ebritsch. The whole groove has been given a more pumping feel with a heavier kick drum, sharper snare and the cymbals have a slightly straighter feel. The dominant roaring bass has also been lifted and coupled with the drop out of various elements creates more peaks. 

Helmut Ebritsch’s Palmcove is next in line. This is a eerie workout out that is driven forward by a bass line that is relentless and rolling. 

For the Mirco Acid mix of Palmcove the wild pitch style synth still brings a creepy feel but with the introduction of sharp synthy stabs creates a grittier mix, perfect for the harder sets.
