The next Lucidflow release comes from Australia based artist Timmus, who Nadja and Helmut comically and coincidentally kept bumping into as part of the ongoing worldwide tour circuit. Naturally, these events are often a sign and it was logical to draft in the fellow globetrotter under the Lucidflow umbrella.
Taking inspiration from the atonal metallic percussion found in neighbouring Japan and applying the emotional house template as adhered to by esteemed imprints like Life & Death and Last Night On Earth, Worthy Of Me is indeed worthy of your time. Heartfelt vocals sit on top of smooth electronics but are tethered with sparky percussion and a surprising feint midway through as an 8bit collapse gives way to a lush organ breakdown.
Team Lucidflow represent in two flavours; Nadja and Helmut give Worthy Of Me the full Klartraum workout. Silky smooth, it retains the soundtracky theme of the original. Nadja then takes one step forward for a solo take which is brighter and more angular, using multi-textured chords to command your hairs to stand on end.
Guesting on the release on remix duty are Schlepp Geist and Uone. The former builds expectation only to defy them; running with the drifting theme of the original before dropping into a robo-funk latter section. Uone drives his remix with a heavily portamento bassline and main room hooks, aiming to be the party monster of the collection.
